We’ve all dated people who were mean to us but have you ever found yourself dating people because they were mean to you? My friend and I sit down to talk about the toxicity of dating bullies in the comedy community and the lovely lessons she’s learned from her past toxic love affairs. Heartbreak made her funnier, happier, and deeply attracted to Jason Segel in the Muppets movie? All that and more.

Something to Read: Yes, Please by Amy Poehler
This book is so pleasing and much more poignant than your average memoir. Amy Poehler clearly aims to inspire and delight in your personal endeavors, not just take you on a stroll through her rise to stardom. Her positive spirit and egoless charm will fill you with an empowerment that might just get you on an open mic stage! Who knows! She’s that good.
Something to Watch: Fleabag S2
This is the single greatest season of televisions ever written (bold claim, I know). It’s a beautiful symphony of emotion: comedy, love, heartbreak, betrayal, redemption, and everything in between. My friend’s own character arc reminds me a lot of this show. She falls in love, falls apart, and finds herself on the way. Plus hot priests!
Something to Listen to: Goddess, Banks
Aptly titled, this album is such a unique and cool expression of womanhood. It goes from songs about scorned lovers screaming at their cheater, to soft ballads about early love. Banks’ sultry voice and raw passion will have you crying and smiling.
Something to Do: Watch a comedian that’s not a man!
Not as difficult as it used to be but still more difficult than it should be. If you live in a city that has live shows, go see one! If you have Netflix, watch a special! Just no boys tonight!
